ADVERTISEMENTS
Nope, we’re not living under alien control just yet, unless you consider the new wave of solar-powered vehicle engineering an alien concept.
This craft is the result of an international project, called the Power of One, aimed at setting the world land distance record for a solar-powered vehicle.
Primarily made up of Canadian scientists and high-tech companies, and conceived as a result of 1987’s World Solar Challenge, the project’s diary notes an extended stay in Lacey, Wash., in December prior to getting back on the road.
Turns out solar power has a ways to go before tackling overcast Pacific Northwest skies and a historic snowstorm.
The dome glass cockpit skewed the image of the sunglass-wearing driver, and further analysis shows he looks like an average man, and has not been sent here to devour our brains. For more information on the project, visit www.xof1.com.
