Members of the Washington County Tactical Negotiations Team cart away attempted murder suspect Greg Richard Wilson, 49, after a three-hour standoff in the Price Road Trailer Park near Rainier. Wilson is the second suspect in the Nov. 28 shooting of William Temple, who also is a resident of the trailer park.

After a three-hour standoff at a trailer park near Rainier this morning, officers arrested a 49-year-old man suspected in the November shooting of William M. Temple.
Greg Richard Wilson was charged with attempted murder with a firearm, first-degree assault with a firearm, menacing and unlawful use of a weapon, according to Columbia County Sheriff Jeff Dickerson. Wilson lives at the Price Road Trailer Park (75885 Price Road), as does 29-year-old Temple, who was hospitalized on Nov. 28 after being shot multiple times. Officers had already arrested another suspect in the shooting, Scott Lavelle, 17, the day after.
Multiple police agencies, including Columbia County and Washington County special operations teams, were on the scene near the intersection of Price Road and Highway 30 in the Alston-Mayger neighborhood.
After numerous attempts at communicating with Wilson by phone and loudspeaker, Dickerson said, the Washington County Sheriff's Tactical Negotiations Team shot a chemical agent, presumably tear gas, inside Wilson's trailer, which seemed to drive him out just before 1:30 p.m.
No one was hurt during the standoff, and Wilson was alone in his home when the gas was fired. Three other people had left Wilson's home earlier in the standoff. Other trailer park residents had already voluntarily evacuated.
Temple, whose updated health status has not been reported, was himself arrested in early September after he was allegedly involved in a police pursuit that led officers to what they believe was a drug house in St. Helens. He was charged with possessing methamphetamines and eluding police.
