Tribe girls looks good at jamboree

Freshman scores six goals in three half-matches

ADVERTISEMENTS

If last Wednesday’s jamboree in Tillamook was any indication, the Scappoose girls’ soccer team is going to be a force to be reckoned with this season.

All the Lady Indians did was shut out three opponents.

“The Jamboree went well,” Coach Chris Dorough said.  “We won all three games we played, scored 11 goals and gave up none.”

The matches were just 40 minutes long, half of what a regular match is.

Dorough took 19 players with him to Tillamook.

Scappoose kicked off the event with a 5-0 spanking of Taft.
