Scappoose 8, Tillamook 0
The Lady Indians were able to put away Tillamook last week with an easy 8-0 win on Monday, Oct. 26.
“In the pouring rain, we were able to score early and often,” Dorough said. “In the first half, Ariel (Viera) had a hat trick (three goals), all assisted by Ashley Peterson. Lacey Maloney added two goals. In the second half, we added three more goals. (They came) from Ellie Mullen, Shaylee McGuire, and Ashley (Peterson). For all three, it was their first goal of the year.”
Scappoose 10, Rainier 0
On Wednesday, Oct. 28, the Lady Indians rolled past Rainier, scoring five goals in each half.
“On senior night, our offense was once again clicking,” Dorough noted. “We were able to get the ball wide and keep possession which resulted in goals. Ariel (Viera) had another hat trick. We also had goals from Ashley (Peterson), Emily Flanagan on a beautiful left-footed free kick, Ellie (Mullen), and Shaylee (McGuire). Freshman Molly Orr added her first goal on varsity, and Liz Knudsen got on the score sheet as well. The other goal was an own goal by Rainier.”
